It’s five consecutive games on the scoresheet for Aggie Beever-Jones, as the 20 year-old found the back of the net yet again this afternoon in Chelsea’s 5-2 victory over Leicester City at Kingsmeadow
Despite heading into the break with just the 3-2 lead over Willie Kirk’s Leicester City side, an 88th minute header from Aggie Beever-Jones saw the Blues take the victory at home this afternoon, in a comfortable 5-2 fashion.
The scoresheet is becoming a likely place for her to be as of late, with the header from Chelsea’s number 33 seeing her net home her fifth goal in five games. At just 20 years old, the future is definitely bright for Aggie Beever-Jones.
A product of the Chelsea academy, Beever-Jones’s recent form for the Blues is the stuff of fairytales. Five goals in five games sees her in second place on the scoresheet for Emma Hayes’s side, only Lauren James (6) having more impact in the tally.
What makes her goalscoring tally more remarkable is the fact that Beever-Jones has only made an appearance in just one of Emma Hayes’s starting sides in the 2023/24 season thus far. Nearly all her impact being made off the bench, the 20 year-old is currently averaging 3.8 goals per 90 minutes played, making her a formidable threat to any opposition.

Though the Chelsea forward did miss out on England’s senior-squad, Beever-Jones is causing many issues for Wiegman and her team in terms of the selection process. The England boss spoke in regards to Beever-Jones’s surprising absence from her squad of 23.
She said, “She’s in our conversations. I think it’s a bit too early [but] we see good things. I hope she keeps improving and gives us headaches again with our selections.”
Despite what would have been an obvious disappointment for the young star, missing out on a senior call-up has done anything but slow down her momentum. Another goal in Blue this afternoon sees Beever-Jones demanding the attention, and it may not be long before she is knocking down the door of the Lionesses.
