Canadian international Jessie Fleming departs Chelsea, as the 25 year-old travels stateside to sign a new contract with National Women’s Soccer League side, Portland Thorns.
Embed from Getty ImagesDespite Fleming’s contract with the Blues pending expiration in 2025, an early transfer deal was struck between the two sides for Fleming’s immediate departure. It is believed that the two sides agreed on a $250k transfer fee for Fleming’s departure.
Having been with Chelsea since July of 2020, Fleming departs the club as a well-decorated midfielder, winning seven major trophies during her time with the London Club.
