Manchester City announced the contract extension of Japanese midfielder Yui Hasegawa on Tuesday morning, a new deal that will keep her at the club until 2027.

Since signing from Barclays Women’s Super League opponents in West Ham United in 2022, Hasegawa has made 41 appearances for the Cityzens across all league competitions.

A formidable force inside the central areas, Hasegawa’s new contract will be well applauded by fans of the club. Becoming a cemented started in Gareth Taylor’s side during the 2023/24 season, the Barclays Women’s Super League is sure to play audience to a lot more of Hasegawa’s firepower now that she has penned a new deal with Manchester City.

Yui Hasegawa and Manchester City are back in action this evening, as they host city rivals in Manchester United in the last group stage fixture of the FA Women’s Continental League Tyres Cup.
