The signing marks Robert Vilahamn’s third of the winter window, making the Swedish boss the busiest manager of the transfer period so far. Grant’s admission to N17 will see Hotspur Way house a dynamic defender, unafraid of being aggressive in attack. Grant’s assets lie primarily in her impressive attacking threat from the full-back position, something that Vilahamn will be ecstatic to add to the stylistic identity he is aiming to build in North London.

Grant’s move to the Barclays Women’s Super League sees her add to the ever-growing contingency of Matildas stars currently playing in England’s top-flight. Her move to the Spurs will see her neighbour her Matildas teammates in London’s North, Grant’s now city rivals residing just across the way in Arsenal’s Kyra Cooney-Cross, Steph Catley, and Caitlin Foord.

Grant will make her first appearance for Tottenham in their Adobe FA Women’s Cup fourth round fixture with Sheffield United.
