Sarina Wiegman addressed the press this morning at Wembley Stadium to announce her decided England squad for upcoming EURO Qualifying fixtures this summer.

Young midfield starlets Grace Clinton and Jess Park both retain their spot in Wiegman’s Lionesses side, whilst England U23 players Jess Naz and Missy Bo Kearns remain on standby for the side.

Maya Le Tissier returns to the England side on standby, following Manchester United’s 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup last Sunday. Kayla Rendell also retains a standby spot in the squad after a late call up in the previous camp due to the withdrawal of Khiara Keating.

Perhaps the biggest cause for celebration comes in the form of Aggie Beever-Jones, as the 20 year-old receives her much deserved call up to the senior Lionesses side after months of electric form in the Barclays Women’s Super League. Beever-Jones has found herself in a spree of domination for Chelsea, having provided five goals and one assist in her last three league outings for the Blues.

Millie Bright also returns to the England squad after an extended spell away from the Lionesses due to her injury, in what is sure to be a warm welcome back for the Chelsea defender.

England will face France on the 31st of May at the home of Newcastle Football Club in St James’ Park. Tickets are available and can be purchased here.
