London City Lionesses announce that Swedish international Kosovare Asllani has signed a two-year deal with the club.

Asllani joins the club upon the expiration of her contract with AC Milan.

Club owner, Michele Kang, spoke on the signing of Asllani with great excitement.

“I’m delighted to welcome Kosovare to the club. Her impressive achievements spanning international and club football speak volumes about her leadership and abilities, and we are all excited to see her in action at Hayes Lane this season.

“To count on the 2022 Golden Foot winner within our team and be able to learn from Kosovare’s hugely successful experiences is truly a landmark moment for the club.”

The 34 year-old also expressed her delight in signing with the Barclays Women’s Championship side.

“I am delighted to join London City Lionesses and look forward to contributing towards the team’s success” said Asllani. “I am so excited by the team’s aspirations and can’t wait to meet my teammates and the fans.

“We have the opportunity to write a new chapter in the Club’s history and our objective this season is to turn Michele’s vision into reality on the field.”
