Chelsea Football Club confirm the signing of Júlia Bartel from Liga F giants, FC Barcelona.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe 20 year-old midfielder has signed on with the Blues on a three-year contract, lasting until the summer of 2027. Chelsea have confirmed that the deal includes an option to extend for a further year.
The West London side spoke with their latest signing via an official club press release, in which Bartel expressed her excitement in signing with the Blues.
“I am very happy to be here at Chelsea. It’s one of the biggest clubs in Europe and I am very excited to be part of this club.”
The Spanish midfielder played a key role in Spain’s success at the Under-20 World Cup in 2022, where she was later named in the Team of the Tournament. Bartel was also a apart of the side that went on to find victory in the Under-19 European Championship in 2023.
