As reported by Suzy Wrack of The Guardian, it has been confirmed that Manchester City will be without star striker Bunny Shaw for their return to the UEFA Women’s Champions League tonight.
Embed from Getty ImagesManchester City face Paris FC tonight in the second round of Champions League qualifiers, and the loss of Bunny Shaw may be a costly mistake from the club.
Wrack reported that: “The Guardian understands Shaw has not travelled to France for the first leg of the round two qualifying match despite late attempts to secure a visa, with a request for an expedited application denied. City are understood to be confident there will be no future visa issues.”
It is understood that the issue arises in the fact that the club had forgotten to apply for a visa for their top goalscorer, and have had to travel without Shaw for this evening’s all-important clash in the French capital.
