Addicks boss Karen Hills said:  “It’s great to have Emma with us. She will be a fantastic addition to the squad as we approach the second half of the season. Emma is a creative player who I believe will fit in seamlessly, and I look forward to seeing her progress at Charlton.”

Bissell told her new club: “When you look at Charlton as a team and its history, it’s a really big club. After speaking with Karen and hearing her vision and philosophy, I knew it was something I wanted to be part of. You can see how well the girls performed last season and the progress they’re making now. I’m excited to help build and create good memories here.”

Charlton are set to face Sheffield United in the Barclays Women’s Championship tomorrow.
