Frauen-Bundesliga side Bayern Munich have confirmed that Georgia Stanway has undergone surgery after tearing a lateral ligament in her right knee.
The 26-year-old was said to have sustained the injury during training, and will now face an extended period of time on the sidelines.
Lionesses fans will be biting their nails as the clock runs down on the start of the 2025 European Championships, with Stanway now placed under a dark injury cloud.
