The Women’s Professional Leagues will host their inaugural Women’s Professional Game Awards on Sunday 11 May following the conclusion of both the 2024/25 Barclays Women’s Super League (WSL) and Barclays Women’s Championship campaigns.

The first event of its kind for the leagues, there will be 14 awards up for grabs across the evening, including the crowning of each division’s respective Player of the Season.

The categories will be voted for in a variety of methods, including votes from the WPLL Board, the Football Writers’ Association and Football Supporters’ Association.

London City Lionesses’ Isobel Goodwin earned the Championship Golden Boot award, with her teammate Emily Orman claiming the league’s Golden Glove upon the conclusion of the season.

The winners of the WSL Golden Boot and Golden Glove awards will be confirmed following the final round of fixtures, with Alessia Russo and Bunny Shaw currently leading the way in the goalscoring stakes (with 12 apiece), and Phallon Tullis-Joyce and Hannah Hampton boasting 13 and 12 clear sheets respectively.

The winners of the awards will be announced as they happen on the evening of Sunday 11 May across the Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship’s X and Instagram accounts.
