Tottenham Hotspur Women have confirmed the immediate departure of head coach Robert Vilahamn, the club announced on Sunday.
Vilahamn’s departure follows an 11th-place finish in the Women’s Super League this season, the club failing to pick up a victory since January.
Andy Rogers, Managing Director, Tottenham Hotspur Women: “There have been some special moments during Robert’s tenure, including reaching the FA Cup final for the first time.
“However, results and performances this season have not been to the level we would expect and now is the right time to make a change.
“We should like to thank Robert for his professionalism and efforts over the past two seasons, and we wish him well for the future.”
The Swedish manager made waves in his first season in north London, leading the club to their highest ever points finish and an FA Cup Final. Since then, Tottenham’s performances have been a shell of their 2023/24 selves.
Tottenham have confirmed that the club will provide updates on the head coach role in due course.
