Chelsea have confirmed that defender Ashley Lawrence has departed the club to join OL Lyonnes.
The Canadian international made 60 appearances for the club after signing in 2023. The attacking full-back scored three goals, racked up eight assists, and won four trophies during her two seasons in blue.
Prior to joining Chelsea, Lawrence ended Lyon’s run of 14 successive French titles while playing for Paris Saint Germain.
Reports suggest Chelsea are set to sign Lyon right-back Ellie Carpenter this summer as a direct replacement. The Australian international is expected to sign a three-year deal with former Lyon manager Sonia Bompastor’s London side.
