Lily Yohannes has joined OL Lyonnes from Ajax on a three year contract.
The rising USWNT star who now has eight caps, arrives at the European giants aged just 18. The move will see the young midfielder link up with USWNT teammate Lindsey Heaps.
Lyon won the Premiere Ligue title in 2024-25 and are renowned for their historic successes in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Speculation had been rife about Yohannes’ next destination for a number of years but she has opted for the French side who are flexing their transfer market muscles.
Johannes becomes the seventh player to join the club this summer. She joins Jule Brand, Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Ingrid Engen, Liana Joseph, Ashley Lawrence and Korbin Albert in signing for the French side.
