Irish striker Kelly Brady has joined Glasgow City on a three year deal following her departure from Crystal Palace earlier this month.
The Halfway Line has exclusively learnt that Brady has signed for the most successful women’s side in Scottish history. Glasgow City will be looking to regain their title this season after being pipped by Hearts and falling behind Rangers in the title race last term. Brady has also been brought in as the club look to make strides in European competition in the coming years.
Kelly Brady seals move to Glasgow
Brady moves from Crystal Palace where she was never really given the opportunity to shine in a side that were thriving and secured promotion to the WSL. Brady had signed for Palace after an impressive spell at Athlone Town, she was Player of the Season last term and won the Golden Boot. The Irish international also scored a hat-trick in the FAI Cup final to ensure a first ever domestic double for Athlone Town.
Brady becomes Glasgow City’s fourth signing of the summer having already secured deals for Ruby Seaby from Ipswich Town, Tia Primmer from Portsmouth and Leah Lane from Lewes. The Glasgow club topped the table in the regular season in 2025/26 but were unable to keep the pace up and secure the title after the split. Head Coach Leanne Ross will hope the signing of Brady will help propel City to their first title since 2022/23 when they secured the silverware on a dramatic final day. Brady joins fellow Irish players Emily Whelan and Erin McLaughlin at the Glasgow based side. She will hope the move will give her regular first team football and return her to the thoughts of Ireland head coach Carla Ward, ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil next year.
Glasgow City will begin their campaign at Petershill Park against Celtic on Sunday 16th August. Glasgow City are expected to announce the signing of Brady tomorrow.
