Arsenal Football Club officially announced that Stina Blackstenius has put pen to paper on a contract extension with the Gunners.
The Swedish striker proved to be a pillar in Arsenal’s 2023/24 campaign, having scored seven league goals, and the winning score in Arsenal’s League Cup final victory over Chelsea.
Questions of Blackstenius’ future have now been answered much to the relief of Arsenal fans, as the club announced that the dynamic striker will be extending her stay in North London.
In an official club statement, Blackstenius spoke:
“I’m so happy to have signed a new contract here at Arsenal,”
“In the space of two and a half years, this club has come to feel like home – that’s thanks to my team-mates and the staff of course, but most of all because of our wonderful supporters. There is such a special atmosphere around this club and we are all hungry to achieve more together. Your support means the world to me and I can’t wait to get back here to go again next season.”
Blackstenius has scored 43 goals across 83 appearances since signing with the Gunners in January of 2022, and Arsenal fans are sure to be ready for many more to come.
